Emma
Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson was born in Paris France to British parents Jacqueline Luesby and Chris Watson, both lawyers. When she was just five years old when she left for Oxfordshire and enrolled in an Oxfordshire-based Dragon School. Emma's dream was to become an actor. When she was 6she was enrolled into the Oxford Stagecoach Theatre Arts branch, where she took classes for acting, singing and dancing. By the time she turned 10 years old, Emma took part in numerous Stagecoach productions and plays. Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone (2000) the 2001 film adaptation to J.K. Rowling's bestselling British book was released in 1999. Emma was discovered by agent via their Oxford teacher. After eight consistent auditions the producer David Heyman told Emma and other applicants Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint that they had been cast for the roles of the three main characters Hermione Granger Harry Potter and Ron Weasley. The debut of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (2001) was Emma's first cinematic screen appearance. The most successful film of 2001, the film set records in its first day sales as well as opening weekend takings. The film has been praised by critics for its film and the performances by the three principal young actors. The highly distributed British newspaper The Daily Telegraph called her performance as admirable. In the following days, Emma was shortlisted for five prizes for her work in the film and was awarded an award called the Young Artist Award for Leading Actress Young in an feature Film.
