Amal Clooney

Amal Clooney is a barrister from the United States and Lebanon, a human rights advocate and philanthropist. She was born Amal Ramzi Al-Amuddin. She graduated from Oxford University School of Law and New York University School of Law is recognized internationally for her work and accomplishments in the areas of the international law of human rights. The clients she has worked with have been several nation-states including the country of Armenia in its fight for recognition of the Armenian Genocide by the Turkish government. Amal Clooney was engaged in 2014 and later was married in 2015 to American actor George Clooney. She instantly became a household word.
